MAYON VOLCANO
I was 9 year when my family and I went to visit Bicol, specifically Albay. If I remember correctly, we went there because our relative have passed away. I know my family was not close to her but we still decided to visit her funeral together with our other relatives. Our trip to Bicol took roughly 12 hours or more. I remember we had to wake up at 10pm to travel. We had numerous stopovers because we had to travel for 12 hours. Then finally we arrived at 12nn at the funeral. We were greeted with sad faces and we said condolence to the family. Then we left the wake, we went to the house of our relative because I is where we will spend the night.

I also remembered that we attended the mass at 5pm. I don’t remember the name of the church but I do remember that the view from the back of the church was the magnificent Mayon Volcano. We couldn’t help but take pictures of it. After the mass we ate dinner then we went back to the house to take a rest and sleep. Then the morning after came, we decided to go and visit the Mayon Volcano and its ruins. It was truly something spectacular. Being able to see the perfect symmetrical volcano in the Philippines. We took pictures but not that many because we were to busy admiring the beautiful scenery in front of us.

Of course as part of the Filipino culture, we can’t help and take a look at the pasalubong center and bought a variety of items and that was the end of our Bicol trip. I do hope I can visit again soon.
